Intrând în teritorii noi cu prima serie de obiective zoom de format mare premium, Leitz ZOOM este un set de două obiective zoom cine pentru cadru complet, constând într-un 25-75 mm T2.8 și un 55-125 T2.8. Construite special pentru cinematografia modernă, obiectivele LEITZ ZOOM se potrivesc bine cu restul obiectivelor cine Leitz, oferind o temperatură ușor caldă a culorii care creează tonuri de piele frumoase și o reproducere fidelă a culorilor. Compacte și construite solid în Germania, acestea sunt o pereche perfectă pentru multe obiective fixe de pe piață.
Consistente cu filozofia Leitz de a face obiectivele ușor de utilizat pe platou, locațiile inelului de focalizare, iris și zoom corespund între obiective, iar suporturile pot fi schimbate între PL și LPL de către utilizator. Ca toate obiectivele Leitz pentru cadru complet, acestea utilizează un design circular al irisului, iar scările de focalizare pot fi schimbate între imperial și metric. Obiectivele transferă metadata folosind protocolul /i.
Tehnic, obiectivele LEITZ ZOOM oferă o performanță greu de găsit în alte zoom-uri pentru cadre complete. Obiectivele sunt parfocale, cu aproape niciun efect de respirație sau distorsiune. Nu există aberații cromatice vizibile pe întregul cadru, iar obiectivele nu prezintă nicio creștere a luminii pe parcursul gamei de focalizare. De fapt, mulți spun că au calitatea imaginii a unui obiectiv fix.
